The AP Multimedia Archive is an electronic library containing the Associated Press' current year's photo report
and thousands of images from their vast negative and print library dating back to the 1840. Photographs are at a resolutions of 72dpi, and can be downloaded and used for any
educational (not commercial) use. Additional access to graphics, audio and text files.

CAMIO® — OCLC's Catalog of Art Museum Images Online — is a growing online collection documenting works of art from around the world, representing the collections of prominent museums. CAMIO highlights the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms.
CAMIO is licensed for use by students, faculty, and researchers at subscribing institutions. Works of art may be used for educational and research purposes during the term of the subscription, if they are properly credited. Images may not be published or otherwise distributed.

The Chronicle of Higher Education is a weekly newspaper, with a Web site updated daily,
reporting on all aspects of higher education and intellectual life. The Chronicle is searchable from 1989 to the current issue, and
full-text issues from 1995 to the current can be browsed.
If you create an account with an @aii.edu email domain, you will be able to acess The Chronicle from off-campus.

Bigchalk Elibrary is
a comprehensive general reference database containing
full-text newspapers, magazines, national and international
news wires; complete works of literature; photo, image and
map collections; television, radio and government transcripts;
book, movie and software reviews. It also provides access
to an encyclopedia, dictionary, thesaurus, almanac, and
fact books.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus,
Britannica Student Encyclopedia and the Britannica Book of the Year. You can also use Encyclopedia
Britannica Online to search an Internet directory that includes more than 300,000 links to Web sites selected, rated, and reviewed by Britannica editors.

Access music and special effects (more special effects will be added to this website later this year). Over 2400 discs of music, 140,000 tracks, and 100 new CDs of REAL music every year. Mix it, sample it, or use it as background loop for school projects.

Getty Images + Video contains close to one million non-digitally watermarked royalty-free images and over 300,000 rights-ready and royalty free video clips. Students may download up to, but no more than fifty (50) high resolution images and ten (10) video clips per person per quarter. All Getty content downloaded from the Getty database may be used for non-commercial educational purposes only, and only for classroom, school, and portfolio related projects. Using Getty content for any commercial or non-school related purpose is prohibited. To obtain the username and password, click the 'Obtain the Password' link to the right. Access by username and password only. Password updated every quarter.

Literature Online is a fully integrated service that combines the texts of over 357,000 works of literature with huge resources of criticism and reference. There are over 246 current literature journals in full-text.

Materials database that identifies materials trends for particular industries and a comprehensive overview of today's innovative material solutions from various industries, from aerospace and apparel, to textiles and toys. Emphasis is on sustainable materials. Aside from news, manufacturers’ specs and descriptions, there is a physical library of thousands of material samples in New York City, if you happen to be there. OmniMusic has a large collection of production music with more than 16,000 tracks in six libraries. This includes one library of sound effects. Can be used for educational (not commercial) use.

Once registered, you will receive an email with your username and password which can be used on or off campus. Students will need to re-register your account every 90 days from a campus computer. You will receive a notice that it is time to re-register and you will be able to use the same password.
VTC Online access to over 407 software tutorials in streaming video! The library has a license for 30 users. Requires Quicktime 7.
